Account Manager
Halo & Co. is growing, and we’re looking for our next Account Manager to join the #HaloEffect. We partner with some of the most exciting names in hospitality, travel, food & beverage, and lifestyle, creating culture-shaping stories, scroll-stopping moments, and relationships that truly matter.
If you’re a natural storyteller with 3 to 5 years of PR agency experience, a killer media network, and have your finger on the pulse of what makes brands stand out, we want to meet you.

Here's a taste of what you'll do:
- Keep projects moving, stories sharp, and clients smiling by managing a team’s day-to-day account activities across hospitality, travel, luxury lifestyle, and restaurant clients.
- Act as a main point of contact for client portfolio
- Lead earned media strategy and execution for hospitality, travel, luxury lifestyle, and restaurant clients, pitching compelling, culturally relevant storylines to Canadian media first, with a secondary focus on U.S. and international outlets.
- Shape big picture PR moments. From seasonal campaigns to headline-grabbing media plays that drive real results, develop strategic PR plans.
- Build, nurture, and own strong relationships with Canadian editors, freelancers, broadcast producers, and digital creators, while expanding your network across key U.S. and international contacts.
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, speaking points, and client-ready materials with a strong instinct for Canadian editorial angles and brand voice.
- Support and lead a team through event planning and on-site execution, including launches, influencer activations, press trips, and media previews.
- Bring working knowledge of paid media amplification, including boosting earned coverage, sponsored content frameworks, and coordinating with paid social or media buy partners to maximize campaign reach.
- Support and lead influencer programs with a strong command of the Canadian creator landscape, knowing the right voices and understanding partnership mechanics.
- Prepare, edit and present client reports and track KPIs with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with our creative, social, and strategy teams to bring integrated ideas to life and push boundaries together.
- Actively mentor and coach Coordinators and Account Executives through structured feedback, pitch reviews, and hands-on guidance that builds their skills and confidence.
What you bring to the table:
- 3 to 5 years of PR agency experience or equivalent in-house communications experience in hospitality, lifestyle, travel, or consumer brands. You know the space, and you love it!
- A proven track record of landing meaningful earned media across print, digital, and broadcast outlets in Canadian and U.S. lifestyle, food, travel, or hospitality media.
- A strategic and creative brain that can take a brief and turn it into smart, culturally attuned ideas.
- A trend-spotter at heart: someone who can see a moment coming and know exactly how a brand should tap into it.
- A strong, adaptable writer with a sharp instinct for Canadian media angles, impeccable grammar, and a feel for brand voice across formats.
- Working knowledge of paid media, including how earned and paid strategies intersect, sponsored content best practices, and influencer boosting or amplification tactics.
- A natural relationship-builder who thrives in a people-first environment.
- Curious, informed and culturally plugged in. Awareness of industry best practices and always watching what’s next.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple client deadlines.
- Someone who takes ownership, thinks proactively, and leads with solutions, not roadblocks.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and knowledge of PR tools such as Meltwater, Klear and MRP.
- Bachelor's degree/certificate in Communications, Public Relations or other related specialties preferred.
